More About the Cain Freeman Family Reunion

as told and recorded by Eligah "Buddy" Freeman (1920 - 1990)

We are from the lineage of Cain Freeman Sr. of Johns Island, South Carolina.  Our roots can be traced back to the Mandingo Tribe in Africa, which was then called the Free Child Tribe.

What has helped to make our family a proud family is in part our fortune of having elders pass down the factual stories that provides the basis for our family history and geneology.

The Cain Freeman, Sr. Family history is one grounded in its beginning from a farming family.  Through the years, skills and professions have grown to include nearly any career imaginable.

Much like our family grown, our history has as well with a plethora stories and tales that have been passed down from generation to generation.  To continue to preserve that history, please click here (coming soon) to read and pass along some of the recorded stories and tales of our family.
